First, the good news

As most of you know, I signed with Elk Lake Publishing LLC last July. What an amazing opportunity this had been! I was told before I self-published that once a book has gone the self publishing route, a traditional publisher would never pick it up. But I had received rejection slip after rejection slip.

I was told over and over that my writing was good and the story was amazing, but Bilical fiction just didn’t sell. There was no market for it. I needed to write something else. But this is what God had prompted me to write and I trusted He would guide my book into the hands of those who would be blessed by it.

At the conference, I met Deb Haggerty. I hadn’t planned to talk to her, but was encouraged to make an appointment, so I did. I went in with no intention of talking about my book and came out with an offer!

God knows what He is doing!

Getting my book ready for republication is going well. The level of expertise this publishing house exhibits astonishes me. I am excited with how much better my book has become under their process.

The polishing is almost done and the audiobook creation will soon get underway. I should have a release date soon.

In between the hours spent on Under Penalty of Death, (UPoD) I am working on its sequel. I hope to have the first draft ready in June, with a release date a year after UPoD. I am excited about what I have written so far and I think you will love it too.

Now for a prayer request

I am having back surgery at the end of this month, the 28th. Please keep myself and the doctors in your prayers. I have three herniated discs that need to be repaired. It will put me out of commission for a few weeks, so I may not be posting much.
