Welcome back!
If you’ve checked in here over the past year and wondered where everyone went, you aren’t alone. I stepped away from this space for a much-needed reset.
Sometimes, as writers, we get so caught up in the relentless cycle of publishing, posting, and keeping up with the algorithm that we forget why we started writing in the first place. I needed time to recharge, step back, and intentionally refocus on what I want the future of my writing to look like.
What Happened to the Sequel?
If you were eagerly waiting for the continuation of my fiction series, I have a small update: I’ve set the sequel aside for the time being.
Stepping away gave me the clarity to realize I was trying to force a story that God simply hasn’t given me yet. The standard expectation in the writing world—and for eager readers—is that every book needs a sequel. They sell better, and it’s always fun to dive back into a familiar world. But if God hasn’t given me that story to write yet, trying to push through the dry well serves no one. I do believe the rest of that story is still coming, but I am learning to wait on His timing rather than my own.
Meet My New Devotional: Salted: Seasoning Your World

During this season away from the blog, I didn’t stop writing, but my focus shifted entirely from fiction to nonfiction. I found I love writing devotional and digging deep into scripture to creating a brand-new project close to my heart. I poured my energy into writing a 12-day (or week) devotional titled Salted: Seasoning Your World.
We all know the phrase “Salt of the Earth,” but this book moves past the kitchen pantry and dives deep into the identity Jesus declared over us on a Galilean hillside. It bridges science, history, and the Sermon on the Mount to explore what it truly means to live as:
- A Preservative that holds back the decay of a broken world.
- An Antiseptic that stings with truth to bring about ultimate healing.
- A Catalyst that suppresses bitterness and enhances the natural beauty in others.
- A Covenant that mirrors the eternal, unbreakable faithfulness of God.
What’s Next?
The manuscript is officially finished! Right now, I am waiting for the final copyright approval and the book cover to be completed.
I’ll be announcing the official release date in the next few months, so make sure you are subscribed or checking back in. I am so excited to share this new chapter with you—thank you for sticking by me through the quiet season.

Expect a few fresh updates around the site soon, too! As I expand beyond fiction to embrace new creative avenues, these upcoming changes will reflect this exciting new chapter.
