I was thinking about the book that I’m writing at the moment.

It’s a sequel to my first book, but very different in many ways. I’m tackling some issues that are going to be hard to communicate and still remain PG. The end is also very complicated and to make it work, I’m going to have to be very creative.

I don’t want to say too much, because… who likes spoilers? But what I’m thinking of doing, I don’t recall ever reading before. Can I do it? Is it something that a publisher will look at and think “this is too different, I don’t think it will fly with readers?

 

This scares me and to tell the truth, I came very close to tossing out the whole idea and try to write something “safer”. After all, it’s not like I am already some famous writer that can draw an audience just by putting my name on the cover.

 

I was struggling to write this morning, when I came across this saying above.

“A goal should scare you a little and excite you a lot”.

Well, that sure sums up how I feel about this project. I keep thinking that if I could pull this off and write what is in my heart, this book will be amazing.

I can’t wait to see the end result. I hope you’ll come along on this journey with me as I try to create what just might be impossible.
